Our Story

Nestled in the heart of the historic Konepaja district in Vallila, the Train Factory is a bold reimagining of Helsinki’s industrial soul. Where the clatter of heavy machinery and the hiss of steam once defined the landscape, a new kind of energy now pulses through these red-brick halls.

We have taken a site once dedicated to building Finland’s locomotive engines and transformed it into a sprawling, 24/7 ecosystem of culture, activity, and flavour.

A legacy restored

A legacy RESTORED

The Konepaja area has been the industrial heartbeat of Helsinki since the early 20th century. As the former manufacturing and repair site for the Finnish State Railways, these buildings were designed for scale, grit, and endurance.

Today, we honour that heritage by preserving the raw, beautiful backdrop of the original factory architecture. We haven't just renovated a building; we’ve unlocked a landmark, turning a closed industrial site into an open invitation for the city to gather.
